Lullabies in Lockdown

  • Queen's Suite Harrogate Convention Centre (map)

Curated by Beth Duggleby 'Lullabies In Lockdown' is a group illustration exhibition showcasing the work of several local, national and international artists with experiences related to new parenthood during the Covid pandemic. It includes a number of current and past guests of Thought Bubble.

The show uncovers both the highs and lows, quieter or untold stories during the pandemic as well as celebrating the tender moments, precious times and lives of the babies who stayed at home.

The Lullabies project was first exhibited at Sunny Bank Mills during October 2022 and has now been turned into a portable touring show. Thought Bubble is excited to be one of the first venues to showcase this poignant exhibition in its new form before it goes on the road.

Head to the exhibition upstairs in the Queen’s Suite at 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday for a special introduction from the curator, and a chat with some of the artists involved.

The show welcomes everyone, including small children and babies who can have some down time in the Lullabies themed soft cushion space made especially for the show by Play Explore Art (Tiny Tetley, Leeds Libraries Mini Play Boxes).

Follow @lullabiesinlockdown on instagram for more details.

Please note the exhibition includes a range of poignant stories from the pandemic around parenting, child birth and baby loss during the time.
