Lee Garbett is a British creator, born in the West Midlands.
Working as a designer and concept artist for games developers, Lee made the move into comics in 2006 with the indie hit DARKMISTS. This led to stints with 2000 AD and Wildstorm, and after drawing a DC/WildStorm crossover, Lee signed exclusively for DC. There he designed and launched the acclaimed Stephanie Brown BATGIRL series and worked on other Bat-related titles including BATMAN: LAST RITES and THE RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE with writer Grant Morrison.
Since then he has remained freelance, enjoying time on Marvel titles such as SPIDER-MAN, GHOST RIDER, THE DEEP and ULTIMATE X-MEN and Valiant Entertainment's flagship: X-O MANOWAR. In late 2013 Lee returned to Marvel to launch Marvel's LOKI: AGENT OF ASGARD. An all new ongoing series with writer Al Ewing.
As well as comics, he continues to work as a concept artist, most recently designing costumes for the X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST movie. April 2014 will also see Lee making his writing debut in CYAN. The first instalment of DC/Vertigo's CMYK quarterly anthology.
