Laurent Durieux

Laurent Durieux is a freelance illustrator living and working in Brussels, Belgium. He has earned, as a movie poster artist, quite a reputation in the USA and in the UK, thanks to several exhibitions and high profile commissions.

In 2013 he has, amongst many other posters, released his take on Stephen Spielberg’s Jaws published by the famous alternative poster company Mondo in Austin, Texas. In February 2014, Mondo held Laurent’s first US solo show where he presented over a dozen of new posters including Alfred Hitchcock’s the Birds, Rear Window, Psycho, Vertigo, Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future 1 and 2, 1951 version of The Day The Earth Stood Still, Cult B-movie The Forbidden Planet, and many others…

Laurent has recently made his dreams come true by working with his childhood Idol, the Great François Schuiten. Durieux' style is considered by many to be retro-futuristic.
