Kev Walker started off as a freelance artist about a gazillion years ago, working for Games Workshop and 2000 AD, with long tours of artist duty on ABC WARRIORS and JUDGE DREDD, with short detours on other stories such as MERCY HEIGHTS, and THE BALLS BROTHERS.
He flirted briefly with mainstream publishing illustrating covers for Artemis Fowl, Vampirates, and Young James Bond, for which he also scripted and illustrated the Eisner nominated SILVERFIN Graphic Novel. He’s been a prominent artist on Magic:The Gathering for many years producing a steady stream of fantasy art which he still paints by hand rather than going digital, because it’s more fun.
His current comics output is exclusively for Marvel Comics, with EXILES, ETERNAL, MARVEL ZOMBIES 3 + 4, VENOM and SECRET AVENGERS, THUNDERBOLTS, AVENGERS ARENA/UNDERCOVER, and NEW AVENGERS to his credit. His most recent work was the four part miniseries MARVEL ZOMBIES: BATTLEWORLD.
