Isabel Greenberg

Isabel Greenberg is a London based comic artist, illustrator and writer.

She graduated from Illustration at the University of Brighton in 2010, and in 2011 she she won the Observer/Jonathan Cape Graphic short prize . Her first graphic novel THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF EARLY EARTH was published in the Autumn of 2013, by Jonathan Cape in the UK and Little, Brown in the US, and has received an Eisner nomination for best new graphical album.

Her comics have appeared in various publications and anthologies including Nobrow, The Guardian and Seven Stories Press. She has exhibited at The V&A and most recently at Pick Me Up in Somerset House.

Her work is heavily influenced by mythology, fairy tales and, at the moment, a lot of English Folk Lore.

She is currently working on her second graphic novel, as well as a graphic novella, and is trying to decide what she likes best, drawing or writing.
