Geof Darrow is an American comic book artist and writer, perhaps best known for his work on HARD BOILED, THE BIG GUY & RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT, which was adapted into an animated television series of the same name, and his current comics project SHAOLIN COWBOY.
Following the publication of HARD BOILED, the Wachowski Brothers approached Darrow to do some conceptual work for The Matrix trilogy, on which he is credited as 'Conceptual Designer'. Geof has also contributed to both volumes of The Matrix comics, a series of short Matrix-inspired comic stories presented in anthology form.
Geof has contributed covers to a number of comics, including CONCRETE, TRANSMETROPOLITAN, DEADPOOL, and Andrew Vachss' CROSS. He started writing and illustrating SHAOLIN COWBOY in 2005, which is now being published by Dark Horse Comics.
Darrow has stated in interviews that he considers Hergé, Jack Kirby, Tezuka Osamu and Jean Giraud (aka Moebius) to be his main artistic influences.
