Join previous winners Tom Foster, Daniel Dwyer, Will Morris, and Joe Palmer, who have all gone on to appear in their pages!

The six best efforts chosen will then go before the searing eyes of some of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic’s greatest talents at a panel on the Sunday, with the art droids doling out advice to budding artists before choosing their favourite to win!

Please note: you’ll need a valid Thought Bubble Comic Con ticket to enter, and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The art challenge is open only to pages based on the script provided.

Writers are being invited to pitch their ideas for a brand new Future Shock to a panel of our top script droids on the Saturday at Thought Bubble – but they have just two minutes to make their case!

Can you condense your idea, plot, and characters for a self-contained, four-page short story with a twist ending down into just 120 seconds? And in front of an audience? And convince some of our best writers that it’s a winner? Only the bold shall be victorious!

The clock is ticking! Can you make your pitch and write your way into a job with 2000 AD? Get writing and make sure you’re first in line to appear – it’s first come, first served! Only our panel can decide whether your idea is worthy of the Mighty Tharg’s attention – the prize is getting paid to have your winning script turned into a Future Shock in the pages of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, like last year’s winner Rory McConville!

Team Ketchup started out as a reading group for the British Comic Awards Young People’s Choice, and are based at and supported by Skipton Library. The team were so inspired by Sarah McIntyre at their first trip to the awards in Leeds that they were determined to self-publish an anthology and exhibit at Thought Bubble themselves the following year. They put in successful funding bids, and in 2014 Volume 1 of Pink Fluffy Ketchup Covered Flower Ponies was ready to go, with 15 contributing kids, volunteer editor Jody Lawson, and some pretty exhausted parents!

The team have gone from strength to strength, running workshops for hundreds of people in Skipton, sometimes with professional creators like Neill Cameron and Dan White, or run by the 32 Ketchups themselves!

Now in their 4th appearance at Thought Bubble, and with community awards trophies and 7 issues under their belt, Team Ketchup are proud to present the Drop in and Draw at Thought Bubble 2017.

Whatever your style, be it stick men or expert artist, come along and Drop in and Draw at the family area in the comiXology Marquee throughout the weekend. Everyone welcome, young and old!
